When Giant Ponies and Creatures Attack — Episode 12 — One Bad Pear Butter

Summary: Twilight Sparkle and Applejack encounter a giant evil Pear Butter from another timeline as she causes havoc across Seattle. Knowing that she is still her mother, no matter which timeline she is from, Applejack must get her back to normal with the help from Twilight Sparkle.

With things drawing nearer among themselves, Twilight Sparkle and Applejack visit Seattle, checking in and make sure everything is safe and not under attack. Unaware that a giant creature may approach any soon, the two ponies need themselves ready just in case.

"So, how did things go yesterday? Have you found Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon yet?" Twilight Sparkle asked Applejack, wondering if Applejack has found any luck in her.

Applejack let out a sigh in disappointment, answering, "No luck, Twilight… Me and Fluttershy spent all day and all night in Chicago looking for Daybreaker and her sister, Nightmare Moon, and nowhere in the city did we succeed. Those two evil alicorns just keep disappearing so fast before any of us can spot them."

"At least you tried the best." Twilight Sparkle comforts Applejack, appreciating for trying the best effort she had. "Rainbow Dash is with Fluttershy and they are currently in Los Angeles and hoping that Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker are detected anywhere within the city."

"Glad to hear that." Applejack said, feeling better and is happy that she is not paired with Fluttershy again.

"Pinkie Pie and Rarity are somewhere in Vancouver and Starlight and Sunburst are in Philadelphia." Twilight Sparkle told Applejack, giving her the news about where the other four ponies. "While they are busy seeking clues about the two evil alicorns, me and you are on the lookout for a giant evil pony, or a different kind of creature that might attack this city."

However, Applejack was not looking so sure about how the others can continue searching for Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon all around the world while she and Twilight Sparkle are on a mission saving a city they know that needs to be protected right now.

"But what if they can't find them?" Applejack asked Twilight Sparkle.

"I know this is upsetting and that Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon can be quicker compared with us, but they still gotta keep on trying." Twilight Sparkle answered Applejack's question.

Although Applejack doesn't like the fact that the other six ponies searching for both Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker will end in failure, she does believe in Twilight Sparkle that she has a point.

Separating themselves and splitting into two teams would be best for the Mane Six and for Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, knowing that they can't miss out the adventure where they must save the world, but they also must save their friends who will end up becoming a villain like Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon.

"I wanna go inside the Space Needle!" Applejack suggested she and Twilight Sparkle tries doing something fun as an activity.

"That sounds like a good idea!" Twilight Sparkle said with excitement.

Twilight Sparkle and Applejack, having already walked past the Space Needle, decide they should turn back and go visit the Space Needle.

Just as the two ponies are heading for the famous landmark, they eventually heard screaming and shouting from the humans, who appear to be running away from something huge that was threatening the city.

Suddenly, the ground shook below Twilight and Applejack, and they felt it underneath the hooves, meaning an enemy was coming nearby.

"Oh, boy… We got another problem, Twilight." Applejack told Twilight Sparkle.

Just then, Twilight Sparkle and Applejack saw a huge shadow looming over the two ponies, putting them in the darkness. They looked a bit frightened, seeing that the giant is walking more quicker and quicker than ever.

Twilight Sparkle looks up and saw a familiar pony who Applejack might know who it is.

"Umm, Applejack? You might wanna look up, now." Twilight Sparkle told Applejack, letting her know that is really important.

When Applejack turns her head up, she was shocked and that the huge enemy attacking Seattle was her mother, Pear Butter. Her eyes are red, and it means that Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon have turned her evil, making her a villain.

Pear Butter laughed evilly, as her laugh started echoing through the windows inside buildings and vehicles, shattering them. She crushed multiple vehicles that are on the streets, and stomped on any buildings in her path for fun in order to have herself satisfied with the results of the destruction she is causing havoc upon.

"This city will be no more when I destroy everything and everyone in this city!" Pear Butter said, just as she fired lasers from her eyes, sending them towards buildings, destroying them.

"How dare they?! How dare them turn my mother evil?!" Applejack threw her hat to the ground in anger, as she can't believe what she is seeing, and this is so far, the most shocking thing she has ever seen.

"Wait, that's your mother?" Twilight Sparkle asked Applejack, looking confused.

Hearing Twilight's question, Applejack responded, saying, "Yes, this is my mother. And she married my father several years ago. I'm the second child born to my parents. They passed away when me and siblings were at so young an age."

Regarding what she just said, Applejack soon realizes that the Pear Butter she is seeing doesn't come from the main timeline.

"Wait a minute. This must be my mother from an alternate timeline where she is still alive." Applejack told Twilight Sparkle, knowing that she is seeing difference between the Pear Butter from her own timeline and the Pear Butter from the main timeline.

Twilight Sparkle teleported Applejack and herself, standing before the evil Pear Butter.

Dark Pear Butter stopped walking when she tilted her head down and notice Twilight Sparkle getting in her way.

"I don't know who you two are, but move it, otherwise, I will stomp on you both flat!" Pear Butter demanded that the two ponies step aside.

"Mom, it's me, Applejack, from the main universe!" Applejack explained the truth to her mother.

"Oh, look who it is, my own daughter who's not from the same timeline as I am!" Pear Butter laughed maniacally and cruelly, surprised that she finally meets her daughter who is from the main timeline, while she is from her own timeline.

Though the giant evil Pear Butter comes from her own timeline and Applejack is from the main and original timeline, Applejack is still the daughter of Pear Butter either way.

"Why are you hurting these humans, mother?!" Applejack wants an answer from her mother about why she is targeting the citizens living in Seattle. "This is not how my mother from the main timeline was. She was nowhere near rude and mean like you are, and this is not how a mother, no matter which timeline she's from, would be!"

"Shut up, Applejack!" Pear Butter slammed her hoof to the ground, silencing her daughter from talking. "This is a favor I'm doing for Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon, and you two ponies won't be ruining my plans. Yes, me and you may be from different timelines, but you are still my daughter. Nothing different!"

"Great! You're working for Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon, too?" Twilight Sparkle asked, having figured out now that Pear Butter, although from her own timeline, is on the dark side, letting the two evil alicorns control her and now the dark magic has turned her evil next.

Applejack and Twilight Sparkle look at each other, seeing themselves in a dangerous situation with the giant evil Pear Butter, and the only situation was fight her.

"Twilight, I hate this, but… We gotta fight her and break her free from the dark magic spell Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon have placed on her. This is the only choice!" Applejack told Twilight Sparkle, getting herself ready for a fight with her mother who is from a timeline of her own.

"Right. Time we get through with this pony and take her down together!" Twilight Sparkle spreads her wings as she was also getting ready for battle against Pear Butter.

"I have given you both chances, but since a fight is what you are looking for, I guess we gotta do this the hard way!" Pear Butter accepted the two ponies' request and she promised that she will destroy both Applejack and Twilight Sparkle together.

Now that they have themselves prepared, Applejack would go up first, knowing that she must make the first decision.

"Alright, why don't we tie up those hooves and place you down easily?!" Applejack pulled out a lasso rope she has just for her evil mother, running towards her with full speed on all four hooves together.

"I don't think so." Pear Butter fired another laser beam from her eyes, aiming for the rope.

Applejack was in shock when she saw the lasers coming right for the rope she's holding, and the rope would not be in her hooves any longer.

"What?" Applejack stopped running when the lasers just hit her rope, destroying it.

"I had no idea she could destroy a rope like that." Twilight Sparkle commented on Pear Butter eliminating her daughter's rope with eye beams. "Whoever expected her anywhere this strong? Because I haven't seen a giant evil earth pony before until now."

"Remember, Twilight, the darkness inside my mother is growing very fast and unless we can figure out a way on how we can stop her, we'd be no match for her." Applejack reminded Twilight Sparkle that the evil within Pear Butter gets stronger and more powerful every minute, and even a second.

Twilight Sparkle creates another rope with her magic, one rope where she and Applejack can use together, and have Pear Butter trip on it.

The two ponies used the rope and charge at Pear Butter with it.

"Hmph. The same useless trick." Pear Butter fired eye beams at both Applejack and Twilight just as they came closer towards her even more with the rope they are holding.

"Applejack, duck!" Twilight Sparkle warned Applejack, just as she saw the the laser coming from Pear Butter heading for Applejack and her, too.

Both ponies dodged the blast, lowering themselves further before the rope they are holding could be destroyed, just like it was with the last rope. Twilight Sparkle and Applejack feel safe that the rope is still with them.

Pear Butter was infuriated when she rope still in her daughter and Twilight's hooves.

"Fine! Try this!" Pear Butter unleashed eye beams towards the ground, attempting to strike her daughter when she gets near it.

Twilight Sparkle and Applejack saw more laser blasts approaching them, and they quickly stopped themselves as they could get killed instantly if they had gotten any more closer. They dropped the rope from their mouths and dodged the incoming attacks.

"Geez, I thought me and you died for a moment." Applejack told Twilight Sparkle, breathing hard until she feels like she can't breathe hard for a while.

"Luckily, we're still alive…" Twilight Sparkle said, getting back up on four hooves.

"Now, I gotta attack her with full power!" Applejack ran towards her mother with just only her hooves, leaving Twilight Sparkle shocked as she didn't expect her charging off like that.

Pear Butter smirked and giggled, seeing that Applejack has done the right thing, just like she should be doing. Running towards her like a mad angry pony, this is what Applejack would do, and this satisfied Pear Butter pretty much.

"Oh, you don't wanna defy your own mother now." Pear Butter told Applejack.

"I gotta save her before her mother kills her!" Twilight Sparkle said, as she used teleportation and rescue Applejack just as Pear Butter fired eye beams towards her own daughter.

The laser blasts are reaching Applejack more quicker just as she came closer, and Applejack was really in deep trouble. Unfortunately, Twilight Sparkle appeared right before her and blocked the incoming blast with her horn.

Applejack was surprised that Twilight Sparkle saved her from death in time.

"Nice that you'd save me." Applejack thanks Twilight Sparkle for stepping just at the right moment before the laser blasts could hit Applejack.

"I know, but now, I'm dealing with her because I got something that she'll get a taste of her medicine!" Twilight Sparkle said, telling Applejack that she must not get involved for the remainder of the fight.

Applejack moved out the way and let Twilight Sparkle finish the job.

"You ruined it!" Pear Butter yelled, having had enough with her plans being ruined and she fired eye beams at Twilight Sparkle, though she teleported herself to a different spot.

Twilight Sparkle was in the air, appearing behind Pear Butter, coming up with her own attack, which would be greater and better.

"Hey over here!" Twilight Sparkle said, grabbing Pear Butter her attention.

Pear Butter turned around and saw Twilight Sparkle prepare for a finishing attack on her. When Twilight Sparkle unleashed her magic beam blast, Pear Butter did a backflip, dodging the attacks completely.

"You fool! I'm not falling for that!" Pear Butter said, refusing to give up and accept defeat and let a single pony outsmart her, no matter how big she was.

Despite the attacks missing Pear Butter, however, Twilight Sparkle teleported herself to the other side, appearing behind Pear Butter again.

"Not this time!" Twilight Sparkle fired another magic beam blast at Pear Butter, aiming for the chest, successfully hitting correctly, critically damaging Pear Butter.

"How could this be?" Pear Butter wondered just right before she couldn't keep herself up properly and then collapsed, falling onto the streets and Twilight Sparkle and Applejack moved out the way in time.

With Pear Butter defeated, she started shrinking, being a regular-sized pony again and the darkness inside her was gone forever.

"I'm so happy that we defeated my mother, even though she was from her own timeline and not the main timeline, since my mother in the original timeline is gone." Applejack told Twilight Sparkle as walked up towards the unconscious Pear Butter, who has her eyes closed and she couldn't say anything until she wakes in the hospital for the next few days.

"While that is over, everything else still must be completed, and we got a long journey ahead, and I mean a long journey ahead waiting for us!" Twilight Sparkle said.

"I understand, and it is such a pain, but we gotta admit it." Applejack replied back.

The truth was that they can deal with evil giant ponies and creatures who are doing favors for the two evil alicorns, Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker. However, Twilight Sparkle still has ways on how she can defeat them as long as her friends are with her.

"I just hope my mother can stay safe in the hospital." Applejack carried her unconscious mother as she really loves her so much, and didn't want to lose another mother, like the one she lost in the main timeline.

"I understand the feelings inside and outside, but we must continue the mission." Twilight Sparkle reminded Applejack that although she has respect for how Applejack feels about the Pear Butter coming from her own timeline and for her safety, there's still more friends and allies Applejack and Twilight Sparkle and the rest must save. Time is wasting.

"But what will happen to her?" Applejack asked, shredding a tear from her left eye. "I just can't leave her behind."

Twilight Sparkle comforted Applejack and give her advice, saying, "We must leave her behind. She will wake up in the hospital in the next few days. We have others that we gotta save."

"Alright." Applejack said, wiping the tear away from her eye.

Before Applejack left, she placed her mother in a chair inside a building and wait for someone to pick and take her to the hospital later on.

"Stay safe." Applejack said towards her mother, who was knocked out cold still as she and Twilight Sparkle left the building and resume the mission they've been assigned with the whole time.

The nightmare in Seattle might be over and that Pear Butter may be free from the dark spell, but Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon are still on the run, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends will soon realize that the task is getting more difficult the more times Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker continuing placing dark spells on anyone who helps the Mane Six.

Will Twilight Sparkle and her friends continue saving the world and restore peace for every city and every country they visit?
