So a little backstory. A long time ago, when I was around 12–13 years old, I attended a family reunion in NYC with my father. During the party, I was offered to dance by a rather cute girl who even went as far as to extend her hand to me as I was sitting. But being the introverted wallflower that I was at the time (and sort of still am, but not as much), I declined because I was too nervous. The new me would have definitely taken the offer nowadays. That moment in my life kind of inspired this remake.
Rainbow Dash is outgoing and confident, being the sporty tomboy that she is, but she always seemed rather reserved and a bit shy when it came to more feminine things, such as dressing up. And I imagine slow dancing is no exception. Her gala plus one, Mullet takes notice of this and brings her to a spot under the vines of a weeping willow where they can dance together away from the eyes of the other guests. I like to think that Rainbow Dash secretly enjoys dancing but doesn't want others to know.
That's about it. Just a fun little remake with some personal context. You may notice a new format for these book page images of mine. This time I went for a double-page spread with two separate images that go together in a small sequence. It allows for a little more storytelling and details. :)
