Ember may be the dragon lord, but she is also a minor and in training. She answers to her parents and tutors when she messes up — and mess up, she did!

Shortly after she had sent Smolder to Equestria to attend a brand new school of friendship, the student went missing. Allowing her temper to get the better of her, Ember had threatened to burn down every kingdom in search of Smolder. Thankfully, tensions between the Dragon Lands and the other kingdoms eased quickly and no one went to war. However, Ember wasn't off the hook. Her father was furious when he learned about her behavior in Canterlot and made her copy a massive book about diplomacy and soft power by claw. By the end of it, he told her, she'd know exactly what she did wrong.
