When Giant Ponies and Creatures Attack — Episode 18 — What a Not-So-Sassy Night!

Summary: Twilight Sparkle encounters a giant evil Sassy Saddles in Chicago at night, and she has no choice except fight the evil unicorn alone.

It was nighttime in Chicago, and John was walking on the street with his wife, Hannah. They had just left the Chicago Theatre after watching an opera. Hannah was excited while John was feeling rather annoyed about it.

"Come on, John, you are jealous because you don't like opera that much." Hannah teased with her husband over not being a fan of opera as much as she is.

"Hannah, that show was over two hours, and I have been bored and tired, sleeping during the middle of the play and I could've just left the building without you!" John said, feeling like the opera play did not interest him for a while.

"Look, I have so many friends who love playing opera music all day, all night long." Hannah comforts her husband, telling him that opera is not such a bad thing.

However, John was not responding because he has his eyes closed and he ignored her.

"John, are you alright?" Hannah asked her husband upon realizing that he stood still, looked up at the dark sky, seeing the moon and feels like the moon would be the time they can go and have some honeymoon moments at home, and view the moon from this way.

"I'm fine, sweetie. I'm looking at the moon for a good chance getting the scenery around this city into one magnificent night the next time we spend our night at the port." John told his wife, wishing for the next night they see the very bright moon from below and kiss each other.

John and Hannah hold each other's hands, look at each other, try and kiss each other while they are still on the sidewalk. It got interrupted when they heard people panicking and running.

Soon they heard the ground shaking, and it grew louder. John and Hannah turned their head back and saw a giant unicorn approaching.

"Not another evil unicorn!" Hannah screamed as she ran and grabbed her husband's hand with her, taking themselves shelter somewhere they can hide for as long enough as possible.

The evil giant unicorn fired her magic at multiple buildings across the city as she continued stomping her way throughout the streets, killing people inside every building she destroyed. She laughed evilly and crushed vehicles underneath her hooves. Her name… was Sassy Saddles.

"I hope you all have been running my destruction 'cause I'm gonna destroy everything all around this damn city!" Sassy Saddles told the tinies as she kicked a building on the left with her hooves, destroying it.

"She's evil! Sassy Saddles will kill us all!" One man shouted, pointing his finger at the giant evil and cruel unicorn who kept on stalking them closer and closer.

Sassy Saddles only cares about herself and she has so much hate towards the humans, which means she must wipe them all out at once. She stomped her hooves on the ground, leaving huge hoofprints on the streets.

"I see you!" Sassy Saddles unleashed her magic at the tinies who ran very slow. Her magic destroyed anyone that failed to escape in time.

"Who can stop us from this giant evil unicorn monster rampaging and terrorizing us?!" Hannah asked John, wondering where help can be made at this time as Sassy Saddles continues wreaking havoc in Chicago, and she was another pony who became a nightmare for all the citizens.

"I don't who can, but I believe we should get the hell out of here!" John suggested preferring he and his wife make it out in time and not have themselves caught with the massive destruction Sassy Saddles is causing.

"Yeah, we gotta move, move, move!" Hannah said, having herself nowhere in the mood being involved with the terror the giant evil unicorn has been giving the tinies.

Hannah and her husband John both flee the scene and head straight home. The other citizens are also trying to find themselves a way on how they can survive the destruction that is still happening, and it sure was a large one indeed.

A man named Robert Hernandez was among the crowd who is making an escape from the evil Sassy Saddles.

"Hurry up! I gotta get out alive!" Robert kept on running faster with his feet and he did whatever best he could not to be killed by the giant evil unicorn, who came more quicker with each hoofstep she took, crushing the cars and trucks below her hooves and she was catching up on the tinies for sure.

Putting herself in a very satisfied mood so the results of her destruction can be entertaining, Sassy Saddles knows what must be done, and she looked down at the fleeing tinies who tried to survive her anger.

Multiple people who have running away ended up being pushed down from others who are panicking and running away in fear, some tripped themselves.

Sassy Saddles cackles with a wicked, sinister smile on her face, preparing to destroy the tinies who were unable to escape in time.

"It's the killing time, and when I say that, it means you worthless insects must die!" Sassy Saddles activates her magic, aiming at the tinies who are still not running. "You all can't escape the great and powerful Sassy Saddles! Nothing can stop as long as the darkness stays inside me! I will accomplish what must be done and nobody can stop me from doing so!"

Everyone who didn't escape soon saw Sassy Saddles unleash her magic coming right at them quick. However, before it could kill them all, they realized another pony stepped in, saving them from death.

A barrier was protecting them all, and the pony who is saving them is Twilight Sparkle.

"Twilight Sparkle! Thank heavens she's here!" An old man said in relief that everyone's favorite pony of a heroine would show up just in time before he and everyone else be dead at the last minute.

Sassy Saddles was shocked that Twilight Sparkle interfered with her plans, angering her.

"Damn you, Twilight! You just ruined all the fun I was having before I could even kill the tinies you swore to protect!" Sassy Saddles yelled.

"I'm afraid you've had enough fun with hurting these tinies who didn't deserve death." Twilight Sparkle responded back, standing up to the giant evil unicorn and telling her what was right, and the tinies behind Twilight Sparkle stood back up and ran away find the other tinies who escaped already.

"As if you could stop me." Sassy Saddles laughed evilly, knowing that the alicorn princess is nowhere on her level, and she could destroy as much as she please. "You forgot that I am doing a request for Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon, and what I am doing for them is wiping out humans at a time!"

Twilight Sparkle told herself, "I know my friends are looking for Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon right now, but those two bad alicorns have turned Sassy Saddles evil and made her a villain, too! I gotta learn how I can defeat her alone…"

While thinking, Sassy Saddles now has the chance where she could finish Twilight Sparkle as the latter wasn't even paying any attention towards her.

"Watch out! This one's just for you!" Sassy Saddles fired a magic beam at the alicorn.

Twilight Sparkle gasped and suddenly teleported herself out the way before she was hit from the incoming magic blast.

"Phew! That was close! For a minute there, I thought I was goner." Twilight Sparkle was lucky enough that if she did not use a teleportation spell, she would died for real and her life would be over.

"I see. So you're not gonna give up after all." Sassy Saddles appreciates the fact that Twilight Sparkle has so much fightback within her heart that she knows that she can't give up just now. "Since you call yourself a worthy fighter, I guess I just gotta fight you for a while until I destroy you instantly!"

"Bring it on, Sassy Saddles! This is between me and you!" Twilight Sparkle prepares herself for a very heated and tough battle with Sassy Saddles.

As Twilight Sparkle begins flying in the air, Sassy Saddles started chasing after her, crushing vehicles while running, shaking the ground loudly. Suddenly, catching up more easily because of her supermassive size, Sassy Saddles leaped into the air, and land on all four hooves, setting off car alarms.

Shocked that the giant evil unicorn stood before her, Twilight Sparkle was worried that Sassy Saddles might be setting up a trap.

"Where do you honestly think you can run now, huh?" Sassy Saddles asked Twilight Sparkle, refusing to let her escape from her wrath, even if flying is not the best solution. "There's no one who can save you, and your friends aren't around to assist you. Oh, what can you do? Absolutely nothing!"

"That's because my friends are tracking down both Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon!" Twilight Sparkle reminded Sassy Saddles that her friends have been sent on a mission and look for the two corrupted alicorns since the previous night.

This didn't even amuse Sassy Saddles, who laughed at the fact that the other ponies can never find Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker.

"They can't ever search for them, even if they tried all the hardest they have inside them knowing where their whereabouts are at this point." Sassy Saddles told Twilight Sparkle as she doesn't believe the latter that it is true.

"But soon they will, and you'll learn that part soon enough!" Twilight Sparkle argued back.

"Shut your damn mouth!" Sassy Saddles shouted activating her magic and fires it at Twilight Sparkle, but she teleports herself out the way before the blast could hit her, and instead the blast struck the building behind Twilight Sparkle.

Twilight Sparkle can tell just from the looks in her eyes that Sassy Saddles is getting more angry and the latter has her hooves full.

"Upset, Sassy?" Twilight Sparkle asked Sassy Saddles in a sassy tone.

"You are so dead once I get my hooves on you, princess!" Sassy Saddles activates her magic once again firing it at Twilight Sparkle, but she missed for the second time as Twilight Sparkle teleports herself again.

Sassy Saddles, getting annoyed with Twilight Sparkle angering her, decides she would use a special move on her and make sure she finishes the alicorn for good.

"Now let me see you try and dodge this trick I have up my sleeves!" Sassy Saddles laughed evilly, preparing to unleash the biggest magic she's ever filling up right now, hoping Twilight Sparkle doesn't get away with it this time.

Twilight Sparkle is shocked, seeing Sassy Saddles standing still and increase her magic even much more bigger than before.

Just a few seconds later, Sassy Saddles has filled her magic at maximum power and she was ready to destroy Twilight Sparkle with her big attack.

"I shall start my destruction here!" Sassy Saddles said as she tilted her super magic from her horn straight for the ground down below and let the tinies feel the pain from her, fed up with everything up until now. She was at full power.

"Uh oh! I gotta get outta here!" Twilight Sparkle started teleporting herself back down, knowing the tinies are in danger.

"It doesn't matter where you hide yourself, Princess Twilight, my magic will send this city like a shockwave and you can't be safe from it and you can never survive it either." Sassy Saddles warned Twilight Sparkle that her special attack will destroy everyone and everything in Chicago instantly.

Twilight Sparkle finds herself inside the Willis Tower. This is where she must warn everyone and tell them take cover, knowing that Sassy Saddles is a threat right now.

"Everyone, you must get down immediately because Sassy Saddles will fire her magic and it is gonna send going right through this city!" Twilight Sparkle told the humans, letting them know that Sassy Saddles is almost about to unleash her special attack in a couple seconds.

All the humans stopped what they have been doing upon hearing the words from Twilight Sparkle and they hid themselves under tables and desks and other objects where they could try and survive as long as possible when Sassy Saddles throws her magic down the ground, which cause massive destruction throughout the city.

Back with the tinies outside, they all screamed and ran way as Sassy Saddles laughs so loudly she can't help herself except see the tinies all around her turn into nothing except dirt.

"Destruction Wave!" Sassy Saddles unleashed her super magic and sending it straight down at the ground, creating a shockwave.

The tinies soon fell and lost balance as Sassy Saddles' massive magic went right through them real fast, and things just looked out of hand right now. Buildings all over the entire area ended up being damaged in the process, too.

Sassy Saddles enjoys seeing her destruction becoming so high, she watches the tinies suffering from her wrath. She didn't care about what happens to the tinies in the end.

"Now this is what I call an excellent show of terror and destruction!" Sassy Saddles cackles, witnessing the structures catching fire, even a few collapsed. She started walking, taking giant steps and shook the ground every time her hooves touched the ground thunderously, crushing any remaining vehicles below her.

Twilight Sparkle, holding on to dear life, saw the destruction from inside a window in the Willis Tower building, which was spreading across the area where everyone else are at.

"This is bad… Staying inside this building just like everyone else means it'll be the end for me!" Twilight Sparkle told herself, knowing that she must make get out of the building before she dies.

Back with the evil Sassy Saddles, she lets out a huge roar much like the famous classic giant movie monster, shattering windows in multiple buildings around Chicago.

Sassy Saddles fired her magic at other buildings that have not yet been destroyed, killing the people inside each and every single one she has aimed at. She even used her magic and killed the tinies on the streets as well.

"With nobody in my way, I guess I can make my departure and call it a day." Sassy Saddles seeing that she is finished with her destruction as the tinies are suffering still from her wrath.

However, just right before Sassy Saddles could leave, she heard someone shouting her name from behind. She turned around and was surprised that it was Twilight Sparkle, who left the Willis Tower moments ago.

"I'm ending this disaster, now!" Twilight Sparkle said with a furious look on her face.

"Twilight? I could've sworn you've died with those worthless earthlings!" Sassy Saddles thought that Twilight Sparkle has been dead along with the tinies when she used her Destruction Wave attack on the tinies.

"You are ABSOLUTELY wrong, Sassy Saddles!" Twilight Sparkle responded back, nowhere in the mood with the terror the giant evil unicorn has caused the whole time. "Those who survived has given me all of their energy, and with that in mind, this will be enough for me to finish you and end your destruction!"

Unsure about how Twilight Sparkle could gain so much energy the humans have shared with her, Sassy Saddles was furious and she decided that it is time she kills her for real.

"This time I will destroy you myself!" Sassy Saddles fires multiple magic beams at Twilight Sparkle as the latter flies her way straight towards her, but she has blocked every single one with her front hooves.

"How about my turn?" Twilight Sparkle asked as she activates her magic, deciding she should unleash hers.

Sassy Saddles was shocked just how strong Twilight Sparkle was.

"No, it can't be! This is impossible! Everything was perfect until you ruined my plans!" Sassy Saddles, frustrated that Twilight Sparkle has interrupted her destruction, was ready for a fight, but just as she tried activating her magic, she realizes that Twilight Sparkle has already has her magic at full power.

"This will end things forever!" Twilight Sparkle said firing her super magic blast times ten, sending it right at the evil Sassy Saddles, which soon damages her.

Sassy Saddles, pushed back from the magic blast that struck her hard, said in pain, "I… can't be defeated… like this… NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Having said her last words before collapsing and falling on to the streets, Sassy Saddles was defeated and was unconscious and she started shrinking back to her normal size, and the darkness inside her body was gone.

Twilight Sparkle flaps her wings, coming straight down and check in on Sassy Saddles. When she lands on the ground nicely, she saw that Sassy Saddles is back on the good side seeing that the darkness inside has disappeared, meaning she is free from Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon's control.

"I can't believe I defeated a evil giant pony without my friends around." Twilight Sparkle said in relief that she accomplished a mission solo, and that things wouldn't be so difficult in the end just like what she mentioned the other day.

"Hey, Twilight!" Someone called out for Twilight Sparkle.

When Twilight Sparkle turned around and see who called out her name, she notices that it was John and his wife Hannah, who have came back and see how she was doing.

"How'd you two know that I'd be the one defeating Sassy Saddles in the first place?" Twilight Sparkle asked John and Hannah, who have known all along that she was exactly the heroine they needed from the start.

"Because we've heard it on the news back at our house, and we see you on the TV, and we decided we should look for you and make sure you didn't die." Hannah responded.

John and Hannah soon felt that Twilight Sparkle was related to one certain stallion who attacked the city before.

"Aren't you the daughter of the stallion who attacked this place before?" Hannah asked Twilight Sparkle, having never understood the relationship between Twilight Sparkle and her father up until now.

"You mean my father?" Twilight Sparkle wondered.

"Yes, him." John replied.

Twilight Sparkle starts her sentence, saying, "Yes, I am the daughter of the stallion who you just mentioned. And I am very sorry if my father has ever attacked this city before."

"So, it appears Twilight is Night Light's daughter after all." John told Hannah, now figuring the relationship between Twilight Sparkle and her father.

However, Twilight Sparkle told the couple, looking particularly neutral, "Listen! There's been a lotta bad things happening around the world lately, and Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon have been controlling my friends and allies and turning them into villains where they are the problem. And Sassy Saddles, like you are seeing behind me, was one of them. Luckily I defeated her and brought her back on the good side."

"Who's Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon?" Hannah asked with a confused look on her face.

"They are the evil, corrupted counterparts of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, respectively." Twilight Sparkle answered Hannah's question about who Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon are. "They even turned my teacher and Luna evil before in Shanghai and Boston."

"Thanks. We understood what you mean." John and Hannah told Twilight Sparkle, appreciating her for telling them what was important, and they made sure they would remember this for a while and never forget it.

Twilight Sparkle continues her speech, saying, "But Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker are still looking for more friends and allies I have made in the past and turn them evil later on, meaning they will be on the dark side. My friends are currently tracking them down, I gotta continue on with the mission dealing with more evil giant ponies in the next couple days."

"Okay, good luck!" John and Hannah wish Twilight Sparkle the best defeating more evil giant ponies around the world and save the other cities in other countries, too.

Twilight Sparkle has succeeded her first mission defeating an evil giant pony alone. However, she still has more friends and allies that will fall victim soon. Can she continue getting her friends and allies back on the good side after she frees them from the dark spell?
