Vivid Nebula is a 42 year old earth pony mare who was born and raised in Canterlot, but now lives in Oataca, in Equestria’s deep south- working as the acting manager for Princess Luna’s observatory located there. Friendly, gentle, but with an irreverent and naughty sense of humour, she is a well liked mare.

Physically, she is tall and somewhat curvy as she leads a fairly sedentary lifestyle. Vivi, as she is known to her friends, has average strength and physical endurance for an adult earth pony mare. Notably, she is a little uncoordinated at times, and somewhat clumsy.

By many, she is seen as a conscientious employee of the Observatory who always goes the extra mile to assist her friends and colleagues, despite her senior rank within the facility’s staff. Princess Luna has her eye on Vivi, and intends to promote her to officially manage the facility.

Vivid Nebula owns a large and well-appointed colonial-style mansion on the rural edge of Oataca that she recently inherited from her late parents. In her free time, alongside her close friends, Vivi has been busying herself with redecorating and making some minor repairs around her property.

It is noted that Vivi has a pet canary that she named Sunspot due to a dark spot on her otherwise golden yellow plumage. Sunspot is never caged, and remains close to Vivi at all times, often to be found nestling in Vivi’s mane. Sunspot, for her part, cares deeply about her owner, and willingly goes out of her way to do whatever useful tasks she can for her.

Vivid Nebula is not one to dance due to her clumsiness, but when the mood takes her, she will tend to sing very emotionally charged songs as they seem to resonate with her more than other songs. Vivi has been listening to a lot of human music recently, and is gravitating towards the Synthwave genre.

As mentioned before, Vivi’s sense of humour is rather irreverent and lewd, and this is something that while on an official visit to the Oataca observatory, both Celestia and Luna found rather amusing, whereas Twilight Sparkle, who had recently had her coronation at the time, was rather horrified instead.

When it comes to more personal matters, Vivid Nebula is heterosexual and has no qualms regarding the species of a potential partner. However, she hasn’t really bothered with dating or relationships for many years, simply due to her devotion to her job.

She has been feeling a little lonely recently, and has decided that it’s high time she found someone or somepony to spend the rest of her life with. It must be stated here though, that Vivi is rather old fashioned with regards to romance, and must be courted properly.
