It took them over an hour to get everything set up for their fight. Cheerilee helped the two rivals to put some boxing tape on their fists and foot to have some protection against rashes while they fought, Apple Bloom helped to bring a wrestling mat from the gym up into the classroom, then they both had to listen to Cheerilee's instructions about keeping this brawl safe, or as safe as two girls beating each other up could be. She made it clear that she wasn't here to be a referee or to set rules, Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara could go at each other in any fashion they liked, but she wouldn't hesitate to step it went too far. She didn't mind if they went home bruised and battered, but she wouldn't risk having one of them ending up in the hospital.

After some warm-up exercises to limber up, the farmer girl and the spoiled brat stepped on the mat. The wait had only spurred Appble Bloom on, she was impatient to put her bully back in her place and give her a sweet taste of painful and karmic justice. Applejack and Big Macintosh had even helped her train for this fight, giving her some boxing lessons in the days leading up to this brawl, and she couldn't wait to put those lessons into practice. Diamond, on the other hand, was so confident that a blank-flank like her wouldn't have the courage to fight or strike at her that she just smugly walked towards her, thinking that she could easily intimidate and bully her into submission, and failed to see Apple Bloom's fist flying right towards her face~
