Headcanon that the breezies are the equivalent of worker bees of whichever changeling becomes monarch (Since both King and Queen means nothing to changeling it's just for ponies to differentiate) Queen Chrysalis was a not-so-good (batshit insane tbh) monarch and thus the Breezies left until Thorax took the throne as the new ruler turn everything back to its rightful place.

I feel like the Breezies, just like worker bees, decided who becomes the new ‘queen’. They have the specially honey ingredient that turns changeling into less love parasites and into the more colorful variety we see now.
