Ice Crystals backstory — How she got her powers

One morning Ice was in her house just chilling in the living room, sitting on the sofa just reading a book she borrowed from Twilight. Then after she finished reading, she closed the book and summoned a breeze and floated the book back to her shelf.


Ice: Well, that was an interesting book to read, but honestly, I really liked it. I won’t forget to return it to Twilight whenever I have the chance.


Then Ice just floated in the air and just went to her room and laid on her bed.


She then relaxed on her bed but thought of something while lying down.


Ice: I’ll just relax for a bit, man having my powers will always be the best thing to me.

But come to think about it, how did I get them in the first place? Was I really born special?

I never really thought of it, and now its worrying me. Mom and Dad never knew either.


Then she put her hooves on her head of too much thinking. Then she thought of something.


Ice: I have an idea, I should go visit Twilight, she might know, ill also return her book.


Then she got up from her bed, grabbed the book from her shelf and went out the door. She then went walking on her way to Twilight’s castle.

She then arrived and knocked on the door, Twilight then opened the door.


Twilight: Oh, hi Ice, nice to see you here, how are you doing?


Ice: Hi Twilight, I’m doing fine, thank you for asking. I came to return your book. She then takes out the book


Twilight: oh, that’s great. Levitates the book with her magic and did you like it?


Ice: Yeah, it was awesome. Thank you for letting me borrow it.


Twilight: No problem.


Ice: Besides that, there was something else I wanted to talk to you about, may I come in so I can talk about it?


Twilight: Oh, sure come in, let’s talk about it.


Twilight then opens the door completely and let’s Ice inside. They then walk inside the library, where she can also see Wolf is inside.


Ice: Oh, hi Wolf


Wolf: Oh, hi Ice, nice to see you here.


Twilight: I hope you don’t mind Wolf being here.


Ice: No, it’s fine, he can join us in what I want to talk about if he wants.


Wolf: Really? Sure, I can join.


Twilight: So, Ice, what did you want to talk about with us?


Ice: So, you guys know me as the special pony with ice powers, right?


Twilight: Yup


Wolf: mmmhm


Twilight: what about it?


Ice: Well, that’s the thing, I don’t know how I got them in the first place. Was I really born with them making me special? That’s what’s worrying me.


Twilight: I’m not sure to be honest, I was kind of thinking the same thing about that. Can it be some sort of coincidence? Or maybe your parents possessed some sort of magic that went into you when you were born?


Ice: Not sure, but that wouldn’t make sense, since my parents didn’t have powers and because they were both Pegasi.


Twilight: hmmm that’s true. Tell you what, lemme look through all my books and see if I can find an answer for that.


Ice: Really? You would do that for me?


Twilight: Sure, it’s the least I can do.


Ice: YAYYY then a cold breeze filled a bit in the room oops sorry she then got rid of the cold breeze but thank you Twilight.


Twilight: You’re welcome, you should go home while I investigate.


Ice: Sure, thing Twilight.


Wolf: approaches Ice and give her a kiss on the cheek Bye Ice, hope this whole situation will be resolved soon.


Ice: I’m sure it’ll soon be wolf. kisses him back on the cheek see ya babe.

Both: Bye.


Ice then leaves the library and leaves the castle. And went on her way home but thinks of something before she goes home.


Ice: Hmmmm, before I go home, I wanna go somewhere first.


She then went on her way to her favorite cave where she always went to practice her powers in.


Ice: So, this is where I used to practice using my powers back then. It feels good to be back here.


She then started to use her powers in the cave, like she used to.


Ice: Hehe, it feels good to use my powers here after a long time. She then just sat down a bit sad But it still doesn’t tell me how I got my powers. She then heard something


Mysterious Voice: (echoing) Maybe I can help you with that.


Ice: What? Hello? Who’s there?


Then she saw that a lot of Ice breeze started to appear in front of her, then it started to form a silhouette of a light blue Pegasus with a light blue and white mane and tail. And with special eyes.


Ice: surprised Huh? Wait no it can’t be. Snowdrop?


Snowdrop: Yes, it is me.


Ice: I’ve heard a lot about you, I even read stories about you from 1000 years ago. How are you appearing in front of me?


Snowdrop: As you can see, I’m a spirit.


Ice: And why are you here?


Snowdrop: You see my dear Ice, I’m here to solve your little issue.


Ice: Wait, so you know how I got my powers?


Snowdrop: Yes Ice, it’s actually because of me that you have Ice powers.


Ice: Wait what? How?


Snowdrop: You see, the day you were born, it was a wintery day, but there was an ice breeze that flew through the window and then just flew through you, and your parents thought it was just some normal breeze that went through the window. But what they didn’t know was that, that breeze was a special breeze that had my spirit inside it, because I found a way to transfer my spirit into a breeze, and that’s how I was able to give you special eyes like mine, except not being blind, and your ice powers. So, you see my dear Ice, I’ve been inside and with you ever since you were born, helping you.


Ice: So, wait, you’ve been inside me all this time? Which is why I have Ice powers?


Snowdrop: That’s correct.


Ice: Oh my, thank you so much Snowdrop. I’m very happy that I have these powers now, and less worried now that I know the story behind it.


Snowdrop: Happy to help my dear Ice. Well now I better get going and remember I’ll always be with you. And if you need anything else just call me and I’ll help you.


Ice: Alright, Understood. Sheds happy tears Thank you


Snowdrop: You’re Welcome


Snowdrop then turns back into a cloud of ice breeze and goes back inside Ice


Ice then continues to cry happy tears


Ice: Thank you for the powers, Snowdrop, glad to find out how I got them.


Sometime later Ice Crystal went to all her friends to talk about the story snowdrop told her about how she got her powers, and they were surprised that snowdrop is in her.

And Ice Crystal lived happily with her powers and story behind them. She was very glad and no longer worried.
