How does Suri feel about the whole "your daughter is a statue now because she worked with bad guys" thing?
Suri barely even thinks about Cozy in general
Cozy Glow is the product of a fling — Not even a friends with benefits situation, more like a “we were working as interns on the same show and figured why not!” situation. Suri and Sven were never married, so as soon as Cozy was born she pushed her onto Sven and pays child support. Suri never wanted children, she’s very focused on her career and wasn’t ready or willing to raise a foal.
Svengallop tells Suri about developments in Cozy’s life — He told her that he was going to send Cozy to the school of friendship, even — and she’s definitely been made aware of her daughter’s behavioral issues in the past. It’s not like she forgets Cozy exists, she just doesn’t have any stake in raising her, and is happy to keep it that way. I think Svengallop was too busy freaking the fuck out when he found out what happened to Cozy to remember to inform Suri (despite how emotionally neglectful he was, he really does love his daighter), so she probably only heard about it from the news. Especially after Svengallop took it to court, LOL
As for her reaction to it… Hm. I can’t imagine she was thrilled, lol. I think her attitude may be along the lines of “Well, she’s always had behavioral problems. You really should’ve seen this coming” towards Sven, while at the same time being… Completely oblivious to the fact that she’s partially to blame for Cozy’s issues in the first place. It’s not like she makes it known that Cozy is her daughter, so she doesn’t feel like she has to cover it up or be embarrassed, basically just telling Svengallop that it was inevitable for a ‘bad’ filly like Cozy and that he should’ve kept her under wraps when he knew she was prone to being a 'bad’ pony.
… He probably hung up on her after that.
Cozy doesn’t know about any of that of course, which is why she said “Mom didn’t care” in my comic. When Cozy asked if Suri had ever called about it, Sven told her no — Cozy didn’t need to know that her mother thought she was a lost cause. It wouldn’t help.
Bonus: Cozy looks a lot like Suri! She grows up with almost the exact same face shape, eyes, hoof shape… Really the only difference is in the colors and that Cozy is just generally a little fat. None of this says anything about their relationship, I just like this aspect of them as a very distant mother and daughter that end up nearly identical
