EDIT: It occurred to me there's no way Pandora could manage to name her kid something as normal and elegant as "Orion". Oddball it is

i normally don't upload sloppy doodles but i'm feeling pretty satisfied with this character design.


So. This is Pandora's little goofy goober of a son, Oddball.

Nicknames: Odd (preferred), Oddy-bobbles (not preferred, Pan's affectionate pet name for him)

Personality: Oddball is much more subdued cub than his mother was. He is genuinely kind and sweet and strives to always do the right thing, much to the annoyance of his mother. A bit of a recluse, he prefers the company of books to other ponies, and as a result is preeeeetty socially awkward. He has a habit of staring too long at ponies, jokes fly over his head, and he's overall really clueless about social cues and how to interact "normally". Like his mother he has few friends, because honestly ponies are a little creeped out by him. Despite this, he's pretty upbeat and oblivious about his poor social interaction ability. Pandora loves him to pieces.



I'm not 100% sure about when exactly he'd be born in the story. A part of me is tempted to place his birth earlier on so that he'd have the chance to meet his grandparents, know the mane six, Cupcake, etc……but the darker part of me wants him to be born about a thousand years after the events in the show, after Twilight and Discord have passed away (more on that here) and Pandora is the lone goddess of chaos because I'm weirdly sadistic and like to inflict bad things on my characters. Spike is still alive. Oddball figures his mum and Uncle Spike are all the family he needs, s'all good
