Description:

Fancy Pants had the luxury of being the fanciest of all stallions in Canterlot. He had the wealth, the health, and everything exquisite a pony could find within the boundaries of Canterlot and Ponyville. He was a social stallion and showed gentlepony taste for fashionable wines and delicate dinner appetizers. The gathering he would whip up on a whim are always so delightful, it was no surprise that anypony would look up to him as a role model for being fancy. He was so fancy, yet he so kind, hardly displaying the sort of uncouth behavior a usual elite canterlot citizen would emulate. Fancy Pants hadn't always been fancy, despite his lineage and status he was born into.

Before all of this, Fancy would relish in the joyful innocent nature of foalhood. His parent didn't think much of it and thought he would grow out of it. Unfortunately, for them he would be quite the adventurer and they did their best of encouraging him. It wasn't until he wanted to be an equestrian guard that they feared the worst. There was a world war at the time, and he wanted to do his part. Reluctantly, they let him go.

War wasn't what Fancy Pants had in mind but he treaded through thick and thin, slept in mud and rain, and endured through the worst of times. However, he made friends in the process. The Guards never cared for social status or how much wealth a pony had, they would become friends and a strong unit through the challenges presented before them.

Unfortunately, the war would take away some of the best stallions and mares Fancy Pants had come to know. When his service was over and he returned, he felt disconnected from the joys and fun he used to have before his service. He spent months, even years, to find out what he wanted with life. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to this distorted pile of rubbish called life. He soon focus more on what made him happy and innocent once. He visited his parents once a month, then it became a weekly visit. Eventually, he started living back in Canterlot and meeting old friends, and making new friends with the Canterlot elite. Soon, he started to welcome his status as an upper class pony.

His personality and outgoing nature influences many other ponies, and there it began to make the upper class a little more kind and friendly to anypony who were not wealthy or fancy like they were. Most learned that friends were more important than just being fancy.

The terrifying memories still plagued Fancy Pants mind, but he managed to endure like he would. Everything got better and he was happy for that. He loved Canterlot with all his heart and appreciated everything that came from his past experiences in life.
