Emerald looks back to Joyride and the approaching ship, and then to Ruby.

"Come on!" Ruby says with a small glare.

Emerald says that maybe it's best they stayed up top to make sure things go okay.

"But…" Ruby says, motioning down the stairs, "Cannons! Besides, can you even fight other than your magic? Let the pirates do what pirates do best and let's go help downstairs!"
