Emerald decides to go and try to find some comics.

The pair head down to the drawing room and see Sepulcher working at his desk with a few other zombie assistants. He mentions that he doesn't have any of his own comics here other than the roughs, but that he has some he purchased to help him understand the "medium" and to give him some inspiration.

Every genre from Adventure to Romance is represented in the comics, and though he has quite a few he doesn't have the entirety of any one series, and many are left on cliffhangers, leading the two to read and read until their eyelids grow heavy and finally close.

Emerald wakes up and raises his head. He has trouble seeing anything before realizing his face is stuck to a comic.

Pulling it off Emerald realizes that it was stuck to his face with drool. He hopes Lord Sepulcher doesn't mind.

Ruby is sleeping next to him, though she seems to have avoided faceplanting into the graphic novels, and instead cradling the comic in her hand like a teddy bear.
