Emerald whispers for Hope and Ruby to run when he drops the shield. When Emerald does this, Ruby takes off like lightning, but Hope stays and says, "I-I can't just leave you here!"

Emerald fires a magic missile at the mare as she raises her crossbow at Ruby and says, "You are being detained, you are not free to-"

Her words are cut short as she grunts, the spell hitting her straight in the face, causing her to stagger like she was punched. The mare angrily levels her crossbow at Emerald, but then Hope steps in the way with a cry of "No!"

"Praelia, I could use some help here!" Bellator barks from beside them.

Joyride seems to have put some distance between herself and the large stallion, and is now firing spells with abandon, causing Bellator to dodge or otherwise gird himself against the spells. He seems to have some sort of small protection from magic. Either that or he just overly tough, as the spells seem to just knock him around.

"This kid attacked me! He knows magic!"

"FIne, you handle the little kid, I'll handle the infamous, ageless criminal."

Praelia curses, and swings the large projectile weapon at Joyride again and begins firing. This gives Bellator the chance to close the gap, and the fight returns to about the way it was before, though with a slightly battered Bellator.

Hope starts to tug on Emerald's foreleg and says, "W-we need to get out of here!"
