Emerald says that he needs to find Ruby. That he can't just abandon her and that it was his fault that she was even here.

Hope tries to argue the point further, and Emerald gets so frustrated that he runs out the door. Doesn't she understand the longer they wait the more likely it is she'll get caught?

Emerald tries to remember what direction Ruby ran. He thinks it was sort of south, towards the tents but away from the big medical building. Emerald starts there.

It's getting onto night now and the place is even more deserted before. There are barely any fires to light the place up, probably because it would be disastrous if it were to get out of control in such a cramped, flammable place. Though he does see the occasional light from a unicorn horn that illuminates some ponies drinking, or discussing things in hushed voices.

Emerald doesn't even really know where to start. Where would Ruby even go? Would she just hide?
