Emerald listens in on one of the nearby conversations, but it doesn't seem to be of anything of great import. They are mostly talking about what sort of work they are going to search for tomorrow, how their families are, and what their plans for the future are.

Emerald shakes his head to clear his thoughts. He needs to find Ruby. Ducking into a corner he quickly attempts to write a letter in the almost non-existent light. He writes Ruby and tells her to meet up with him somewhere. He isn't sure where he should tell her to go though.
