Welcome to the LucidVerse Dash fam. I did a poll and Lucidverse was originally winning when I started drawing this, Chabiverse took the lead in the end I know but I was already drawing so

Rainbow Dash's first engagement was… not ideal, to say the least. She was the fiancé of Starlight Glimmer. Their short lived engagement resulted in a child, one of whom Starlight abandoned the top Wonderbolt with. Dash had dreamt of motherhood for years, but she hoped this would come about when she was ready, and with a loving partner alongside it. Neither happened unfortunately.
Flashfire was an oopsie baby for lack of a better term. Professional flying was a task in itself but it became a lot more difficult when parenting put a spanner in the works. Rainbow ended up having to take a lengthy break to care for her new-born, a very draining break full of plenty of sleepless nights and crying. Dash never once regretted it though. It was exhausting, especially as a single mother, but she views it as an eye opening experience. Flash was an adorable baby too, how could you ever regret getting to mother such a cutie pie?

Next up is Cymric Dapperpaws-Dash. Rainbow Dash and Capper's relationship, although be it short, made a nice contrast to the last relationship Dash had been in. The pair were a fiery couple, full of lots of flirting and teasing, but it was obvious they cared for each other greatly. They broke up on good terms, it was as simple as just no longer feeling the spark they once had. Cymric was yet another 'surprise', but just like Flashfire, Dash never regretted a thing. She and Capper shared custody of their daughter and gave their little Ragdoll all the loving she deserved.
Also like Flashfire, Cymric was just so cuuuute. She'd often tumble around on the floor with plucked feathers from her mother as if they were toys, and was very energetic. She was small and fuzzy and her parents, grandparents, and even older sibling, adored her.

In Cymric's teen years, Rainbow Dash finally settled down with her husband Sunburst. They were perfect for each other, always very bubbly and cuddly. Sweet enough to make one's teeth rot, in fact. Flash and Cym were happy for their mother and never had any issues with their step father.
Once Flashfire and Cymric moved out however, Rainbow was left feeling very empty and lost. She was suffering from a case of an empty nest. She loved being a mother, and it took a toll on her to 'give up' her precious babies. They live in Ponyville as a duo, meaning they were both very close, but it still hurt. She was yet to express what exactly was wrong to her Sunny, but it was pretty clear to him early on what was up.
One afternoon after Sunburst goes to retrieve his wife from her 'sad cloud', they have a long talk about how she'd been feeling. Sunburst confesses he'd been very into the idea of having a child of his own. Don't get him wrong, his step children were all he could ever ask for and more, but he'd never got to experience fatherhood in its fullest. With this in mind and Dash's want for another child, they decide to try.

And they were successful.
Sunray Flare is the spitting image of his mother. She's not only his idol, but his inspiration too. He hopes to be one of the best fliers in Equestria, just like his mama. He's adored by his whole family, certainly the favourite coming after kitten Cymric. His parents treat him and his half siblings equally don't worry, there's enough love to go around.
Dash likes to joke about she has a complete set with her 'kittens' (she didn't refer to only Cymric by this title). Not only is one a boy, one a girl and one nonbinary, but they're all either completely or partly one of the three races. Sunray's a pegasus, Flashfire a unicorn, and although Cymric only has hooves being the pony part of her, she lacks wings or a horn. She also relishes in the fact that each of them took after her in eye colour. Her gold-eyed babies.
