We have a problem with the imports.
There are doubled images. We know this. But the images that are imported with the "universal" ID code is being deleted in favour of an image with the "newer" ID code.

This will cause problems when trying to track down images from one site to another.
In cases of a double-uploaded image, the one with the smaller ID number should be kept instead of the newer one. One of the big strengths specifically of PonerPics is keeping the image IDs the same.

As far as I am aware, there are no images being merged due to this problem. I think a few were merged a few years ago before we noticed merging issues. If you notice any recent ones being merged, please let us know because no one on staff is supposed to be merging images until we find a better solution.
