Surveys have recently shown that the average booru user, in looking for images of cute ponies, may go as long as six hours without having a politicized sexual orientation shoved in their face. In order to prevent that, we’ve decided to make the entire CSS of the website one big, politicized flag to be shoved in your face, so that for this one day a year you may remember, “trans people exist.” Because, you know, otherwise you might forget that Transpeople exist. We sure did. But not today!
As Transpeople are ~1/160th of the population, we think it’s only fair to devote 1/366th of the year to them through changing our site colors. Because that’s how we show we care.
@8968 Yes; as we are growing we are committed to more inclusiveness, diversity and gender identity. The Partnership for Global LGBTI Equality (PGLE) is a coalition of organizations committed to leveraging their individual and collective advocacy to accelerate LGBTQIAPFZ+ equality and inclusion in the fandom and in the broader communities in which they operate. The Partnership is supported by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and is operated in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.
@Background Pony #1774 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO ME!!!!!!??????? A JOKE THEME FOR ONE DAY OF THE YEAR!?!?!?!?!? AHHHHAHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M SO INCONVENIENCED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! YOU BETTER STOP BEFORE I SHIT MY PANTS!!!!!!!!!!
@Background Pony #1774 Even Derpi didn't do anything retarded this year, which is saying a lot. Theirs is recycled, but, hey, beats eye damage.
Their April Fools thing made me want to download and try using desktop ponies again for the first time in 12 years, albeit it was kind of tricky to get working on Linux. DPengine loaded but most of the ponies I tried made it crash (only a couple worked), another one I tried (which technically didn't have a native Linux binary, but you can run it with Mono + VB support installed) worked 100%, at least with the ponies I actually wanted to try. Nice nostalgia trip, all things considered
Now that we are all adequately aware of whatever it was that we were adequately aware of, we can go back to normal. Unfortunately, I don't believe we will be doing awareness next year, as next year only has 365 days, and doesn't have the extra day.
