Emerald grabs the mantle and puts it on. He's kinda always wanted to do this. He attempts to reach inside it to try and find all the stuff she stores, but nothing seems to come out. It's probably got some magic trick to it in order to make it work. Ah well.

Emerald takes his bag from his cot and runs out the door, calling after Ruby. He finds her on the next floor up, staring into the room with the cannons.

She is surreptitiously watching the crew members as they ready the cannons for their assault. Emerald gives her a tap on the shoulder and she whispers,

"She said thirty minutes or so, right?"

Ruby then notices what Emerald is wearing and says,

"Heh, that looks surprisingly good on you, though it's a bit big."

End of Chapter 24!
