The mare searches the dresser first. The only noteworthy thing inside it other than clothes is a single, heavily used crutch. She takes a peak under the rug as well and briefly searches the nest-like bed. Her efforts for both are a mouth full of dust. At least she knows there is nothing hidden in either though.
Mulberry then heads to the desk and searches inside the drawers first. It's mostly giant pieces of jewelry made of shells and a number of cloth flower hairpins. Atop the desk is a journal and a picture. The picture is Emilia and her husband holding hands.
They look so happy…
Mulberry then takes up the journal and goes to the last page and reads it. From the date it was written sometime right before the fog wall came up.

She danced all through the night again. She doesn't stop, not even to eat or sleep.
What a wonderful, miraculous thing!
Her energy, her smile, the lightness of her paws… I just can't help myself from watching her dance, and even occasionally joining in. It's so enthralling that I have to pull myself away just to make sure all the work around the hotel gets done, but I always return as quickly as possible. Emilia and her happiness are all that matter to me now.
I even got McClank to come by and take a look at that old piano we have. If he can tune it up my love will have some music to go with her dancing. I can't wait!
