Also, has there EVER been a society IRL where homosexuality was acceptable for multiple generations, but pedophilia was not? Another answer is that when they can trick us into bickering over whether gays get to gay or not, we'll be unable to unite together against actual oppression. You can't talk with your coworker about forming a union b/c they're a gaylover/homophobe, for instance, so I guess you'll just have to put up with the unpaid overtime and get fired if you complain.

One answer is that the reason this stuff historically in most cultures has always been kept in the closet is illustrated in just the past several years. It took them about thirty seconds to go from "you shouldn't care what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom" and "we just want to serve our country in the military" and "we just want to be able to get married like everyone else" to "bake the cake, bigot," "you are transphobic and we'll get CPS to take all your children away if you don't let your six-year-old choose to get a sex change operation," and "it's a violation of our civil rights and you are literally Hitler if you don't let your toddlers dance with a stripper pole we stuff dollar bills in their underwear."
