hm I suppose I can see where you're coming from. I grew up with the movie and just thought buzz lightyear was cool lol. I didn't think of it more then that (the animated buzz lightyear movie, 2D animation not the shitty new one was great) but yes they and most people do make fun of people for being passionate and caring about things now alot. it makes me wonder if there really is a point in having a relationship in the future
Well for one thing like everything Pixar makes, it screams daddy issues. It's very much for kids (which is to say "at kids"). Like most modern humor, it's bitterly cynical, and mocks people for caring about things. It's just so tryhard. "This is the movie that you like, because you like this formula, and that formula, etc."
