Description:

So you're telling me your a fan of a show with electricity and modern technology like arcades, roller coasters and a DJ booth, yet you're drawing the line at a cartoon horse having a phone? Man y'all find the most ridiculous things to nitpick and get upset about.

'80's style arcades and speakers also are meant for a specific application and add whimsy insofar as they are used for recreation. A phone is a digital Swiss army knife and has an unmistakeable effect on culture because of how universally it's used. Phones have changed the very nature of how humans communicate with each other, and it isn't something befitting a magical world of ponies.

A roller coaster isn't something you keep with you, that constantly monitors your every move, and secretly subjects you to experiments for finding new ways to exploit you.

I mean theme parks subject you to unwilling experiments, but you still don't carry them with you, and you can escape them, unlike cell phones…
