what in retardation
There's a lot in life we might not ever get answers to. You just need to learn how to cope with that fact because it doesn't get any better. Now if you wanted some kind of advice on your draws, I'd just ask in different places. But if people like it and they're just quiet, it just be like that. Lurkers gonna lurk.
True, there are helpful and unhelpful negative responses, just like with positive responses. It should be pointed out, however, that your examples are a negative response and an ignorable response. Anyone who's spent any significant amount of time on the internet should know to dismiss any flavor of "fuck you, go die".
"This is shit" is unhelpful, but would at least tell me something about the image is wrong. "This artist is fucking shit, I wish they'd finally fuck off and stop drawing" has a high enough chance to be a troll that I'd probably ignore it. "More dog snout and dead eyed shit, I wish this artist would finally fuck off and stop drawing" is, obviously, helpful, because it points out specific flaws. I should probably point out these are hypothetical responses and not ones I've personally received.
No responses just leaves me in limbo. Did everyone happen to miss it? Is it shit? Is it fine but no-one can think of something to say about it? Does that particular thread just not give a shit about drawings? It's not something I care to dwell over; I'll just move on to the next thing I want to draw like usual, but for autism's sake I wish I had the answer.
Well, there are negative responses and there are negative responses, aren't there? Consider
"You should have used more saturated colors for the subject of your drawing, to draw the eye, and try to be more consistent with the shadows."
vs.
"You suck, kill yourself."
One of these is more useful than the other.
Personally I don't care what the response is. I fully expect anons to think what I draw is shit, and in fact negative responses are more enlightening than positive ones, but in a perfect world I'd prefer to get at least a single (You) so I know someone saw it rather than it being skimmed over amongst the tides of autism. Realistically, I know that's not going to happen, nor is there anything that can be done to change it.
WALK AWAY
U KNO I'LL FUK U UP
Here's a perfect example to illustrate the point. The exact same cat photo, ponified by two different artists:
3 faves, 7 upvotes.
10 faves, 16 upvotes.
What is the reason for such a gap? The more-upvoted image has better composition. Bloom's in the focal point of the image (dead center) and occupies most of it, her head and comically large bow naturally create another focal point, and there are no distractions like the speech bubble or tiny details (that can't be distinguished on the thumbnail anyway).
On the less-upvoted image, Bloom or her head is in none of the natural focal points (not in center, not in any of the thirds), she occupies much smaller portion of the image than the furniture she's lying on, there's the speech bubble to further diminish her, and the composition isn't built to guide your eye to her either.
It also has more problems, but you won't reach them because the thumbnail has failed to catch your eye and so you won't open the full image.
Yeah, I don't care anymore, that's why I don't post anymore.
Are you actually this stupid? It's hilarious.
"I don't care about asspats! Posting in places that fail to give me asspats is a massive waste of time! ITS NOT A CONTRADICTION I AM SPEAKING TRUTH YOU JUST CANNOT UNDERSAND WHAT I AM SAING"
Ok, attention whore only posting for attention. Please keep doubling down on how everyone is wrong but you. I have made popcorn.

LMAO
Nice try, retarded faggot, but you'll at the very least need a basic understanding of English if you struggling this hard to understand what I'm saying.
>There are plenty of us who find happiness in just making content for the sake of doing so
I doubt that includes you, you illiterate moron.
You still haven't proven why posting on your gay little imageboard isn't a massive waste of time.
Simultaneous/parallel uploading. You know that old saying about "never put all your eggs in one basket." If it's validation or the dopamine hit you're looking for, make accounts across as many platforms you're willing to deal with and let the (you)s roll in over time. Then you're going to have to "advertise" your posts by linking your postings in places like discord servers. Be sure to only have one embed though while linking the rest using
<link here>
. Example:I never really considered that tidbit. But it makes a LOT of sense.
Something to remember is that it's a real bitch to get anons to upload. I'm one of those uploaders. No matter how much I might like something or someone's arts, I usually can't be assed to do a damn thing about it except leave the tab open for weeks until I work up the motivation to actually upload at least some of them. If a friend messages me to give tags on something for them, I can send that to 'em. But other than that, it's sheer laziness that I don't end up uploading something. Even made a thread mentioning "Hey, here's stuff that needs uploading!" on derpi but I don't think a damn thing was done about those.
Unfortunately, you're gonna have to befriend yourself a tag/uploader autist. If you can't work that out, it's down to you to at least work up the effort to put the minimum obvious tags for your stuff. But the better the tagging, the better the visibility. And like another anon said, you're gonna have to find the motivation for her. Not rely on feedback. It's anon culture to lurk, rather than post. So your stuff could be saved and you'd never know it.
Genuinely asking what you want people to do. You want people to respond with empty replies like "nice :)" or "cool" just to placate you or what? I'm sorry that /mlp/ isn't twitter where someone can leave a meaningless updoot to give the illusion that you're special. Maybe what you make isn't interesting. Maybe you're posting in threads that aren't as receptive to most art, or where (You)'s are sparse in general. That happens. But sitting here offsite crying because you aren't getting enough back-pats isn't going to make anyone like you or your content more.
>B-b-but my board health!
Yawn. There are plenty of us who find happiness in just making content for the sake of doing so, without needing ass-kissies. If you can't motivate yourself without outside validation, that's entirely a (You) problem.
Are you stupid? Perhaps daft? A li'l cuckoo in the up there?
That's not a contradiction, retard.
>stopped caring about getting attention
>if I don't get attention why would I post somewhere
Pick one. The entire rest of your post is invalidated by this contradiction.
Also, before anyone tells me that I should just deal with being ignored and that the board won't change, too bad, if anons are too lazy to bother to reply to the few guys making content for them, then they'll only have themselves to blame when the last of those guys fucks off and it finally kills the board.
If you draw solely for attention, you have three paths ahead of you:
burnout
shitposting
flavor of the month furry shit
if you want to walk neither of these three, you will have to find sources of motivation that arent reliant on the public, such as pride in your work (faith optional).
Also, get better composition so that the focus of the image pops on the thumbnail, it's one of the reasons shitposts are noticed but "muh full renders" are not, shitposts naturally have absence of superfluous details.

tl;dr: "WAAAH I DID NOT GET PURE ASSPATS, I WAS CALLED MEAN WORDS, THIS MUST NOT STAND!", including a potential instance of taking basic bitch bait personally
