ponybooru barely loads and had to debate letting AI into their collab (they don't now but apparently did last year).

The “barely loads” part is true. The site’s been having a lot of technical issues this summer.

As for the AI stuff, it was “allowed” last year because there wasn’t a rule against it at the time. The issue didn’t come up until the 2023 collab was finished. There wasn’t much of a “debate” either, just some people asking for it to be banned in the future and no one really objecting.

for one dumb politics that are purely based on "if you disagree with me you are bad person!!" for whatever flavor of the week political nonsense is happening. I don't engage in any of that, It's all shit so why argue about it. what's more annoying for me personally is just how mentally deficient all the users seem to be. just lacking in any sense of thought. I got one comment on my reuploads to the site and it was just a quote from the game related to the artwork. that's not bad but looking at recent comments It's all so terrible. ofc we get the average eqg-fetish toddler commenting on those images or asking an artist for more art but none are named or regular users. the regular users here are pretty much all from /mlp/ and are that level of retarded. I just read comments on derpi and feel like I'm in a daycare. that's what they get for censoring everyone they disagree with kek. just mindless babies left.

There's like three anons who wanted to make submissions and haven't yet uploaded anything, so I think we might as well extend it all the way to what it was last year and to allow for the maximum submission window (there's no way I want to deal with any of this in December), and maybe we'll get a few extra submissions too.

As long at it gets done this year, it doesn't really matter.
Not sure what's going to happen with that other sci-fi collab though. I guess if anyone who has already made a submission to the community collab doesn't mind doing another one, then head on over to that thread.
