I honestly wish I choose a different username when I was 16. I'm not really a big fan of "AwesomeBrony" yet I'm stuck with it because my dumbass decided to watermark a lot of my work.

My personal favorite meme from that time period is the Awesome Face. I remember doodling this face a lot back when I was still in school.

Sometimes I wish I chose a different username too. I don't like Twilight nearly as much as I did eleven years ago, yet I'm tethered to a dumb meme named after her, and I fear that I would lose what little recognition I have if I switched to something else.

I also don't know what exactly I would even switch to. I'd likely just pick another meme and/or character that I'll end up regretting further down the line, so there's probably no point in changing.

Pepe the frog also lasted for several years before suddenly dropping off around 2020 or so. There were so many variants that I thought it would always stay relevant by continuously reinventing itself. Then one year it just died.

Wojak is still going (for now) and is currently filling the niche left by rage comics, but ten years from now we'll probably be having this very conversation about wojak.

Not him, but le smug frog is still a thing in certain circles. It just isn't a meme the normies see as much of these days. I wonder if part of the reason for that might be that the social media companies went full retard on censoring badthink memes right around that time. Musk didn't buy Twatter and free the memes until about two years after that.

I've been using the same name across multiple websites for 11 years.
I suppose I could always change my name here since nobody really knows who I am, but that doesn't solve the problem on other sites where I have more of a reputation.

Do people really? I gave up on them months ago. Between the outages and the mods' charming habit of letting people spam threads with dick pics then banning people for reporting the spam, I decided I was wasting my life. I sometimes go to other imageboards, though it seems like they're all as dead as dead can be.

I did hear a rumor that when the USAID magical infinite money faucet got shut off, some threads on 4chins that were getting spammed with interracial porn suddenly became spam-free. Make of that what you will.

As you can see, people do really. Despite the fact that mods = fags, there isn't much people willing to move into an another board en masse.
8kun is a joke, compared to 8chan used to be.
Currently, the second biggest English-speaking board is probably sharty. Too bad that its culture revolves entirely around a shitty meme.
As for mare boards, there's mlpol, which is barely even a mare board in the first place, and nhnb.
