Alright, a question for everyone:

I was considering, once the (staff) importer is finalized, changing the default sort-by system so that images are sorted by ID number rather than by upload date, which means that new images can be steadily imported from Derpibooru, while user uploads take up the front page(s). The idea is to give more focus to uploads that artists make directly to PonerPics.

Of course, you can always change the “sort by” back to upload date.

Waiting for some time and then importing new images from derpibooru might not be an optimal sollution. It might be good to automize such process.

I also don't know if staff will take legal action against ponerpics for ^pffft stealing art.

I also had questions about the imports, mostly out of curiosity.

Does ponerpics have all art imported from derpibooru or only some portion of that? I mean, is it completely archived?

A lot of images (I think all derpibooru imports except the last two images) have their filenames broken.

WebM posts lose the black "WebM" label if "Use video thumbnails" is checked in the settings page, it makes it hard to differentiate them from GIFs. Could you change it so it's still clear they're webms in thumbnail view?

Backwards and forwards image navigation appears to be broken.

It's actually next to the "Filters" at the top over to the right. It has a drop-down arrow, and defaults to "static."

Where is the setting to make the spoiler tags reveal the image when you hover? I'm pretty sure that it exists somewhere, but I can't find where to turn it on.

Seems to be a bit of a bug with the "Artist Needed" tag. When adding an artist and removing this tag it will often take refreshing the page in order for it to stick.

What about your DNP policy? I've heard you don't follow that and allow posting any art regardless artist's approval.

There’s only no captchas if you are logged in as a user. There are captchas for anonymous actions.

Is it safe to have no captchas? I mean, there could be bot hacks and everything, damaging the site's well-being.

I do mean imbedding where the p would appear as a preview; in context of that conversation, it was imbedding on 4channel. Perhaps placing a p at the beginning may work. I believe giving it a number around 6 million, however, will also distinguish it from any other source in the same way as a p.

The p at the end was what I had meant. I was under the impression it was a seperate numbering. But I am curious about the issues with external linking. Are you talking about embedding images on other philomena based sites where the p at the end has it appear as a preview? (Or something like that) Would having the p at the beginning help with that?

Well, there is no seperate index. We were condsidering adding a p to the end of ponerpics numbers, but there is concern that would not allow linking on some external websites.
